Based on the conventional theory on culture and politics that political authority influences formation of culture and use them as means of control over its subjugated class, this study aims to analyze the relationship between political authority and culture of children, who are incapable of being political participants and thus can only accommodate the various cultural syndromes and outputs as received. Through an attempt to comprehensively contemplate the conventional ideas and the research results, many theories proving a correlation between political authority and formation of culture have been extracted, such as those of hegemony, biased education, ruling ideology, habitus, and others. These verified existing studies and theories revealing the close relation between the authority and the culture are re-evaluated in a perspective of child culture to infer the relationship between it and the authority, and then a few examples of cultural contents for children are presented as the confirmation and emphasis. It is our wish that this work would galvanize many various researches on the correlation between child culture and political authority, raising the cultural right and status of children who must be free from influences by the authority. We also expect it to be utilized as the basic theoretical reference for researchers and creators of cultural contents for children to consider their status during the research and planning stages.
